Coaching offers a safe space to think things through with someone who will listen fully, without agenda, and who can offer different perspectives, expertise, practical tools and strategies, along with guidance and support to get the best from yourself, your team, and your business. Human Nature Development has been offering Leadership Coaching since 2013.
You don’t need to have all the answers before you start (that’s kind of the point). You don’t need a strategy, a five-year plan or even a clear idea of where you’re going. You don’t even need know for sure what you need coaching for.
It's ok not to know exactly what you need. We can work that out together.

One-To-One Leadership Coaching
For Business Owners and Leaders who want personalized support
You're good at what you do, and that’s why you started your business or got promoted to management. But leading people is a different skill, and people can be wonderfully - but frustratingly - human.
One-to-one coaching gives you a private, confidential space to work through the real challenges you're facing. Whether that's a difficult conversation you've been avoiding, a team dynamic that's not working, or a desire to become a more confident and effective leader, we work on what matters most to you.
Over time, you'll develop a deeper understanding of yourself as a leader, a clearer picture of the people around you, and a practical set of tools you can use every day.
This is for you if:
- Managing people feels harder than it "should"
- You're facing a specific people challenge
- You want to grow as a leader proactively, not just in a crisis
- You want support, hands-on help and practical advice
A special note: Coaching for ADHD Entrepreneurs and Leaders
I have a special interest in coaching people with ADHD, whether they have a formal diagnosis, are self-diagnosed, or simply recognize some ADHD traits in themselves. Over the years, I’ve discovered that around 65% of my coaching clients have had ADHD, many of them diagnosed later in life. For a long time, I thought it was just an interesting coincidence that my approach seemed to work particularly well for people with ADHD. Then I discovered my own ADHD and realised this hadn’t happened by accident. I have created resources and programs specifically for ADHDers at WorkLifeSmarts.com.
ADHD can bring a particular mix of challenges to running a business: too many ideas, difficulty prioritizing, struggles with getting started or finishing, overwhelm, inconsistent energy, perfectionism, procrastination, decision-making, delegation, systems that work for a while and then stop working. Finding consistency when it comes to leadership practices can be particularly challenging.
A lot of traditional business advice doesn’t work well for entrepreneurs with ADHD. Instead, I take a completely individual approach, working with your particular strengths, challenges, circumstances and the way your brain works. You get the benefit of working with someone who gets it, from lived experience.
Team Coaching
For Leadership and Management Teams who want to grow together
Individual leaders can only go so far alone. When your whole team develops together, the results are deeper and longer lasting.
Team coaching helps your group build stronger communication, greater self-awareness, and a more cohesive way of working. Differences that used to cause friction become strengths. Conversations that used to be avoided become productive.
I often recommend that leadership teams have individual coaching alongside group sessions or workshops, so each person gets the shared experience of growing as a group, and the personal space to go deeper on their own development.
Every situation and every team is different, and I can help you figure out the best combination and path forward for you.
This is for you if:
- You want your managers to lead more consistently and effectively
- You want to invest in excellence in your team
- You want to attract, engage and retain great people
- Your leadership team has communication or conflict issues
- You're building a leadership culture from the ground up
Leadership Coaching with Liz
Making work a better place for you and your people
You might know exactly what you want help with. You might have a problem you need to work through, a difficult conversation you're avoiding, or a decision you're struggling to make. Or maybe you don't know exactly what you need coaching for, you just know you'd like some help. All of those are great reasons to reach out.
You will find me curious, practical, and non-judgemental. I'll ask questions, listen carefully, challenge assumptions when it's useful, offer different perspectives, and gently guide you on a clear path forward.
We might brainstorm possibilities, work out together how to approach a difficult conversation, explore what's getting in your way, or find practical tools and strategies that will make life easier.
You can take the conversation wherever it needs to go: tangents can sometimes turn out to be useful because they can reveal connections you hadn't realised were important. My job is to connect the dots and help you figure out what will work best for you.
People come to me with all sorts of questions and challenges. For example:
- Team dynamics, communication and conflict
- Difficult conversations and performance issues in their team
- Delegation and trying to work "on the business" instead of "in the business"
- Developing processes, systems, and creating more consistency
- Making better use of time and energy
- Decision-making
- Business and strategic planning
- Getting clarity and direction
- Identifying core values
- Working through a period of change or uncertainty
- Attracting, engaging and retaining great people for your team
Practical, Real World Experience
I've been running businesses since 2005, and have over 2 decades of experience in leadership. I was a Director of Organizational Development, and have been coaching since 2013. That means I have a pretty large toolbox of strategies, ideas, and ways of approaching problems that come from real experience, not just theory.
The aim is always to find an approach that makes sense for you.
There isn't one "right way" to do coaching. How we work together depends on you, your situation, and what you want to work on. I offer a free, no obligation initial meeting so we can talk about where you're at now, where you're trying to get to, and what kind of support will help you get there. There is no need for you to have everything figured out before you get in touch. After this I can make recommendations for the best path forward.
You can also email me if you have any questions at all.
What does coaching cost?:
Coaching is not one-size-fits-all, and is tailored to what you need, so I don't have a price list for standard packages.
As a guide, the leadership coaching packages I recommend start at $1,200 (CAD).
After our initial (free) conversation, I'll make recommendations about how I think we can work together to get the best results possible for your budget.
Your next step... Let's Talk and find out if leadership coaching is right for you and your team!
